I have to wiggle everything just to get thru a cycle on my brand new dishwasher! It fills up and works great when it does work. No prob! But it takes a good 30 minutes to get it work and I walk away come back NO WATER! Sometimes I have to unload it just to wash them myself! Now Im going back to purchase place and return or have repaired. Less than year old, repair free?

Thinking it is best to call Whirlpool for repairs under warranty, they decided to send out a technician from A&E Factory Repair. This is where the service sucks.A&E needed me to wait about 2 weeks for the first available appointment for service. When the technician arrived and pulled out the dishwasher, he told me that he would not repair it because he didnt like where the hose was installed through the cabinet. He insisted that only after the hose was moved, they would return to fix the leak if it was still an issue.Of course, the hose was then moved and the machine still leaks. So, I called A&E back to schedule another service call. I was again told that the next available service call was 2 weeks out.Now, the day before the service call, I receive a phone call from A&E, telling me that they have to reschedule the service call that is supposed to be for tomorrow. Once again, the earliest next available appointment is another week out.If it was now not past the original 30 days to be able to return the item to Lowes, I would have already done that. By the time the first A&E service call happened, it was already past the 30 days in which I could have returned it to Lowes.I will never purchase Whirlpool again simply because they use A&E service center.

My husband AND I purchased our Whirlpool Cabrio washer and dryer from Lowes in 2011 (Model # WTW7800XW2). About 10 months after I purchased this I noticed a hairline crack on the right side of the frame that holds the glass top near the hinge. I didnt think to much of this. I figured it may have been screwed to tight when manufactured. A few days ago I noticed the lid wasnt sitting flat and saw the crack had gotten much worse. The Cabrio lid is made with a heavy piece of glass inside a plastic frame allowing you to see through the top. Its pretty obvious that the plastic frame is not durable enough to hold the heavy piece of glass.I called Lowes and they told me that because I didnt purchase their extended warranty that I should contact Whirlpool. I called Whirlpool and was told it was a cosmetic defect because the washer still works. They also told me my washer is outside of its warranty so they would schedule someone to fix it but I was 100% responsible for the repair costs (which I found out will be $400). Out of curiosity I googled this issue online and found numerous people complaining about this exact same issue. When I told this to the customer service agent at Whirlpool, she said there werent enough people to recall the product. Why should I spend $400 when it was a design flaw that caused this problem? I found out the year after my washer was made, the lid was redesigned with a much sturdier frame, Coincidence? I think not!I havent had any problems thus far with the dryer but with the experience Ive had with this washer will make me never by another Whirlpool product again. I cant believe they wont stand by their product! Obviously they know this has been a major complaint on this model from 2011 because it was changed the following year. I have purchased many Whirlpool appliances over the years but dealing with this issues has been frustrating. Im so disappointed in Whirlpool and their lack of integrity!

We bought a Whirlpool Cabrio 6300 washer based off the salesmans recommendation (not very happy about this). After the warranty ran out, every time in the spin cycle, it makes a sound similar to a piece of metal banging around inside the cylinder during the cycle. Our friends have told us they had a similar experience and for their machine, they found out the bearings were going out. Weve had this machine a total of 3 years. I doubt we ever buy another item from HH Gregg plus will do our investigation on Consumer Buyers digest before we toss any more money out for a washing machine.

I have had this Whirpool Cabrio washer now for one year. Clothes always come out wrinkled (even after drying). It leaves clothes unclean and leaves white streaks in clothes. Water level is so low in, that it cannot rinse or wash clothes properly. After washing towels, when removed to put in the dryer, soap is left in towels. I have had a repairman here, he says the design is bad, yet reports works as designed. Dont buy this washer. This is a piece of junk!

Most of the time it either does not put enough water in to get the clothes wet or it will not spin. We had it less than six months and had to call for a repairman and to this day it is not any better. The Frig. we bought is noisy and makes a high pitch sound that sounds like a motorcycle taking off. We had everyone over at thanksgiving only to find out the ice maker had stopped working. The microwave does not heat very well at all and at times if you open the door before it has stopped it continues to run. Everything was purchased at the same time from Lowes about a year ago. I will never purchase another whirlpool appliance.

If there had been a choice for no stars I would have given it none. I bought the Cabrio washer and dryer 2 years ago and been dissatisfied from the beginning. It was recommended to me by the repairman who gave me the bad news that my old Whirlpool was not repairable. I suspect that his recommendation came from the fact that it has a good record with regard to repairs and not that it did a good job cleaning clothes.I thought that perhaps there was a learning curve and I would figure it out. Not so. This washer leaves stains, sometimes even not getting something thoroughly wet. The washer does not get clothes clean, especially whites. I have replaced two sets of white towels because they were never entirely clean and eventually became so dingy that I donated them to the Humane Society. I tried using Oxy Clean and even bleach, but nothing works in this washer. Any workout or sports clothes I soak first in the sink because not doing so results in smelly cleaned laundry that has to be repeatedly washed to remove any sweat odors. The final straw came when I washed a small fleece dog pad and it came out of the washer with one third of it not ever having touched water. I tried explaining these issues to Whirlpool customer service agents, who blithely informed me that Whirlpool can do nothing to help. So, I will donate this heap of metal to anyone who is willing to take it on and never purchase another Whirlpool product. Incidentally, I submitted this review to the whirlpool review site and they refused to publish it.

I bought a complete kitchen set of the Whirlpool Gold Series Appliance from Brand-Smart in 2/2013. The first problem I had was the compressor on the refrigerator. It started making a noise & stopped cooling in 04/2014. I called Whirlpool and they said there was only a year warranty on parts and service. I was not notified that I could get an ext. warranty. Therefore I will have to pay for the repair. I called a service tech out and he said I needed a new compressor, total cost 255.00. Then in 11/2014 it started making the same noise & stopped cooling another $255.00. Now its doing the same thing. It needs another compressor, will cost me $255.00 more! A total of $765.00!! And I have only had the refrigerator 2 years 2/2015.

I purchased it because the price was $1000 dollars less than comparable ovens and even now the price has gone up $300 since I purchased it. I really wanted the luxe look at a discount price, a burner that you could lay a grill over, and five burners which it provided all of those things. I hesitated to buy this oven because the door fell off the last Whirlpool within three years and they refused to fix it so I tried not to buy this brand but it had the amenities I wanted for the price I could afford. I really like the oven. I like the oven the best because it really does make a great cake. I like the two large grates that sit across the oven. It makes it feel high end. If you dont wipe the range immediately grease gets stuck on the range and is hard to clean. This is what I like the least. Im ready to wipe on the weekend and its too late. It took me four days of internet comparison to decide on this one. The house is not painted, the cabinets are falling off the wall literally but I am extremely proud of this oven and it makes me feel affluent even though Im not.

I wasnt able to use the oven. Abt Services came in to do the repair. One month after the cooling fan was installed, the same message came up again. When Abt Services replaced the cooling fan again, the display was completely out. The cost of the repair parts is over $800. Are you kidding me! I paid $1500 for the range. Now I need to pay $800 to repair. Whirlpool didnt offer any discount for repairing the defective product but offered purchase similar product at a discount price. I will never ever pay a dime for Whirlpool product. It is a nightmare using the product. I learned my lesson. No Whirlpool product again in our house.

I bought the Whirlpool Cabrio model # wtw5500xw2 about two 1/2 years ago. Besides my clothes not clean, I havent have any problems with it until recently. Usually it doesnt spin. The clothes are left soak and wet. First the belt broke, then the lid lock, then the nut came off the pulley, then the splutch assembly. There was a few more problems in there. Now who knows what is wrong with it? It is one problem after another. It is a money trap. The CEO was just after money. There needs to be one big lawsuit against Whirlpool. After I find out what is wrong with it and the cost to fix it, I probably will just go buy a new washer/dryer set. And it will NOT be a Whirlpool.

The pump is making an unusual noise. I see a lot of reviews about this product. I find it strange that it appears to have a good rating at all the advertisers but in reality it’s really a horrible machine. Shame on Whirlpool for our landfills, dumps and recycle bins with absolute garbage plastic and metal Has to be recycled. We have only disposable garbage for appliances.

Yesterday I purchased this Whirlpool top load washer model WTW4816FW with agitator and we installed it at our vacation home and I started a small load to wash. Yikes, it made noises like a machine that is on its last legs. I knew from washing clothes for 40 years that this is NOT right. We, hubby and I waited and listened to this piece of junk to finish the cycle. Thank god I had set it for a short wash. We also videoed this contraption while it was grinding. I called Lowes and politely told them I was returning it. Thankfully they never had a problem with us bringing it back. (This must happen often.) I go back to the appliance department and decide on a Maytag. I noticed that it looked like the junk we just returned. I stood there and looked up the model number online and lo and behold there was a video of it doing exactly the same noise. It was virtually the same machine I just returned with just a name change. Needless to say we left the store washerless until I can research this further. I then found out that Whirlpool now owns Maytag. Thing is I just bought a front loader Maytag for my main home and it works good. It was a replacement for a Whirlpool without a agitator which worked well too. The YouTube videos seem to be washers with agitators doing this. I just wish I could post the video for all to hear. I guess we are all at the mercy of big companies who dont care if they make a good product as long as they can make it cheap.

This unit replace a older Whirlpool fridge that you had to put your ear against to hear it running. It is now on our porch for cold drinks. This will be the last whirlpool product I purchase.

It cleans well, and is easy to select water temp, spin speed, etc. It's simple to load, but because I am short, I have difficulty reaching stuff at the bottom of the tub. A stool is needed. LOL. In the 5 years that I have owned it, I have not needed any kind of service to be done on it. Very reliable. I have had Whirlpool washers and dryers before and my success with them is why I purchased the set I have now. And so far, so good. Highly recommend.

In August of 2013 the lid on my Whirlpool Cabrio, model #WTW7800XW0 simply fell apart. This washer was purchased from Lowe’s in Live Oak, Florida on August 23, 2010. Lowe’s put me in contact with the authorized repair service, A&E Factory Service. The A&E technician arrived and told me the hinges were the cause of the lid breaking apart. He ordered a new lid and new hinges. When the lid and hinges were delivered the technician came back to my home and looked at the hinges again and said they didnt look that bad so he didnt bother even opening the box with the new hinges. He just put the new lid on and said I shouldnt have any further problem. The total cost of the new lid, hinges and service call amounted to $385.50. Well, here it is - not even a year later and the same problem is back with me. Yesterday (July 23, 2014) I was doing a load of laundry. When the load was complete and the lid lock turned off - the lid actually sprung upward and now the lid wont close. It seems that Whirlpool is fully aware they either have a design flaw of defective lids and they are gouging the customers for their errors. The Cabrio model is supposed to be top of the line - certainly not a cheap machine. I was, at least, happy with the performance of this machine cleaning my clothes properly but this lid problem is ridiculous. I do not plan to purchase any Whirlpool products in the future if they do not make things right by myself and hundreds of others with this same problem.

We bought a Whirlpool front door open washer machine from Best Buy on Oct. 2, 2011. We didnt start to use until our basem*nt got finished. In November when the basem*nt was ready, we found out that the machine didnt work at all. We called A&E factory service as suggested by Best Buy. They sent technicians 3 times in 2 months to check the machine. Now, it is 3 months later since we purchased the machine, the machine is still not working. We contacted Whirlpool, and they would not exchange to another machine, instead, they told us they will send another technician to check it once again. This machine costs us $800 before tax, but until now, it is still not working. Can you tell us what to do? We called Best Buy and they said this machine is under factorys warranty. So we called A& E service, who said that if Whirlpool called them, they will tell them it cannot be fixed. However, they need Whirlpool to call them because they work for Whirlpool. Is 3 month waiting not enough for a brand new machine to get fixed? And the worst thing is we still owe money to Best Buy creditor. Please help us to get rid of this! Thanks!

My very expensive Whirlpool refrigerator thats three and a half years old broke down before Thanksgiving 2020. I am not able to get parts until after May 18th 2021. After calling numerous times and spending lots of time on hold I was told February 11th by Whirlpool that they had the parts in stock and they gave me a price for each part. Then they connected me to the parts department where they told me they dont have two of the 4 parts that I need. The price that they gave me for the same parts with a lot higher than what they told me at whirlpool. Whirlpool customer service was terrible its as if they dont give a damn. They just dont care.I cant believe its going to be 7 to 8 months to get parts for a three and a half year old refrigerator. I have fallen down my basem*nt steps where I have a small very very old refrigerator twice carrying food up and down. Spreading mustard and sour cream all over my carpet my stairs my walls. Not to mention the fact that I have bruises all over my body. If I were you I would not buy a whirlpool. Its going to cost over $600 for the parts replacements that is if I can ever get them. Im going to have to break down and buy another refrigerator. Remember Whirlpool customer service is terrible and you can just forget about getting the parts.

When asking the Whirlpool representative about the rust, he assured us there were no other complaints.This is hard to believe since our recent research clearly shows that other brands have had to replace tops due to rust. As for clothes not cleaning, no response to this issue. Whirlpool should be ashamed of product - clothes do not come clean, there is no soak cycle, no way to open mid cycle without losing all water, washer smells horribly, must be cleaned - are you kidding? Who cleans the washer that is supposed to clean clothes with a special cleaner?? We understand safety issues of water in open machine, wonder if Whirlpool understands the need to have a soak feature to clean clothes. Undereducated buyers like us and the totally undereducated salesperson at Lowes were obviously a horrible combination. It was all about sales for them. No one mentioned and we had no clue that the huge drum would not clean clothes even using less water than a traditional machine. We thought platinum meant a high quality machine. It clearly was a cleverly used buzz word for sales not a premier cleaning machine. Never, never, never purchasing Whirpool anything again. I would give no stars for this piece of junk, Whirlpools energy efficient top load washer. I called 1 day after their warranty was up. It was actually purchased on Oct. 9th, 2010. The machine was leaving spots on my clothes from day one (was told it was my detergent)! The machine started making strange noises and not cleaning clothes. It was coming out worse than they went in the machine! I called on Oct. 10th, 2011 to complain. They told me my warranty was up! I had to pay $234.83 to order F7E1 activator and pay repair. The repairman told me that my machine was not delivered until Oct. 14th, 2010. It should have been covered on warranty!

In 2007 and 2008, I purchased 7 natural gas heaters: 1 for my home and 6 for rental properties. I have had nothing but problems from all of them. Two of them failed this weekend (one 40-gallon and one 50-gallon). I called the 800 number and have to pay $63.50 for parts for the 40-gallon and was given a PO number to pick up parts for the 50-gallon at Lowes. They do not have the parts. I have spent over $250,000 at Lowes since 2000. I have all Whirlpool appliances in rentals and my own home. The discussion I had at two Lowes stores today really showed me how they take care of their customers. I told both stores that I will never buy the Whirlpool brand again!

Service never showed up; when we called, they told us we had been rescheduled. Here it is the rescheduled day time slot and they still have not arrived. Im getting the runaround from them and I am supposed to be grateful because they gave me a $75 gift card for my inconvenience. Im on hold with Whirlpool because I just want them to take the washer back. I have been told by Sears since it is over 90 days, they cannot refund my money. I just have to wait for a repair which may or may not happen since they may not have the parts. This is unsatisfactory service from both Sears and Whirlpool. I have always bought my appliances through Sears and they have always been Whirlpool. I wish I would have read all these reviews before I purchased this model.

I bought this piece of junk Whirlpool Cabrio washer two years ago and it’s been nothing but junk. Just like everyone else, this thing has never gotten my clothes clean no matter what I do. Anything with a drawstring or straps gets ripped up or stretched out. It’s loud and shakes, even though it’s leveled. Now, to top it off, it’s leaking water from the basket seal. I called Whirlpool and they couldnt give a damn. Since it’s out of warranty, it’s my problem, even though she said they know this machine has a lot of problems. So now Im stuck either fixing this thing or buying a new washer. Every appliance in my house is a Whirlpool and Ive had nothing but problems with several of them. I thought when I bought the brand it was a good brand and they stood behind their stuff. Boy, was I wrong! I will never buy Whirlpool again! They should recall this washer!

We have had our Whirlpool for 6 months. It doesn’t always keep things uniformly cool. Oftentimes some items are frozen while others are not. The water dispenser button leaks in a dribble down the front of the fridge after each use. The drawers do not move easily when they contain a moderate amount of food. The freezer works great. All in all it does a decent job but I definitely wouldn’t consider it one of the best.

I called Customer Service and they told me someone from Apple Appliance would be here on the 24th, it is now the 27th and still no repairman. I have contacted both Apple and Whirlpool everyday and have gotten no satisfaction at all. I just found out that I will have to wait until March 31st to have someone here. I have lost everything in the freezer and refrigerator and have no way to cool anything. I find this unacceptable but have no alternative but to wait until Whirlpool does something about it. I will never purchase any other appliance from them.

Our gas stove (Whirlpool WFG714hLAS1) has been working fine and it looks great. However I just tried the self clean cycle to clean it up. I dont do a lot of cooking with only the two of us, but I like to keep things clean. I was very surprised after the first time - it didnt look much different than before I ran it! I was used to simply wiping down the oven following a cleaning, just removing the leftover ash. I havent had to scrub an oven for many years and it is very hard for me. I ran a second cleaning cycle and it didnt look any cleaner. We both had to kneel down and try a variety of non abrasive cleaners which finally got most of the grease spots, but not all. I guess we will just have to cover the roasts and try to keep aluminium foil on the bottom rack as much as possible. PLEASE re-consider buying any brand stove that has this awful feature, unless you like cleaning ovens by hand!

My wife and I made the unfortunate mistake of purchasing the Whirlpool Gold Series, model #WRF989SDAM00 refrigerator two years ago...yes TWO YEARS AGO! We have experienced numerous issues with the appliance but our latest (no cold air in both the fridge and freezer) prompted a call to a service center. The serviceman that showed up knew immediately what the issue was, our compressor and evaporator had malfunctioned and according to him, We have seen the same problem in a number of these models and that Whirlpool has since redesigned the casing to prevent this issue in new models. What about those of us who purchased the previous model?! Now shame on us I guess for not purchasing the extended warranty...I suppose I just took it for granted that in todays competitive manufacturing world Whirlpool would be committed to building a quality product! Because of this I was offered two options from Whirlpool. #1 - pay for the parts yourself...over $800 or #2 - purchase their 1 year warranty program @ $350/year, this warranty will cover all parts and labor for an entire year. Based on my experiences though, I will need to purchase a 1 year warranty @ $350/year for the life of this lemon, potentially costing me $5500 over a 10 year period. I ultimately took option 3...tossed the piece of junk and bought a new fridge from their competition. Dont be fooled by the attractive design and appearance, the Whirlpool Gold Series refrigerator is a money pit waiting to happen!

I had a repairman out and he replaced the thermal fuse in the back of the oven. It cost $85. I didnt attempt to clean it again for another few months since I dont use the bottom oven often. When I did attempt to use the self-clean feature according to manufacture instruction, the same thing happened. I called the repairman and he said that the thermal fuse would blow every time I tried to clean the oven, because of the way the oven was manufactured. I contacted Whirlpool and they were not at all helpful. I intend to contact them again.

The fellow said, Oh you should clean your oven weekly, really there are 2 of us and I use the oven maybe 2-3 times a week without spillovers. When I do have spillovers I use the AquaLift waste of time, then have to spray it down with Affresh Spray the co. I bought the range from recommended, still have to scrub hard to remove built on spills. Save yourself the money and frustration. Buy anything but a range with AquaLift self cleaning.

When I went to check it out, there was smoke coming out from under the pan and pieces of glass that had exploded out in small chunks. When calling the customer service line at Whirlpool, they told us that it was no longer under warranty and could not be of help. Their only explanation was that they would only cover a new stove top if it had cracked or broken this way when putting a cold pot on a hot burner. They said their technician could tell if this was why the shards of glass were exploded from the burner.

We called again, serviceman number 2 came out, said bad door, so he ordered door. Serviceman number 3 came out, replaced door. Moisture still in fridge, food isnt staying cool, and you can physically still see gap indoor. We called again. Serviceman number 4 came out and said fridge is not level due to floor in house. But nothing wrong with floor in house. This serviceman pushed on fridge said to my 89 year old dad and 76 year old mother and I quote, Put a piece of wood under this side of fridge. We will not replace this fridge. Now mind the fridge was delivered and set up by Lowes. So now this brand new fridge is no good and we have had no help whatsoever to fix this problem. So my parents whom have been married for 62 years with 5 grown children, 16 grandchildren, a 36 greatgrandchildren and 1 great great grandchild have promised none of us will ever look at another Whirlpool anything much less purchase a whirlpool appliance. Just for the simple fact of how a multi trillion dollar company will not stand behind their warranty nor name. We are disgusted with the whole situation. This is the worst experience any of us have ever had. So no I would not recommend Whirlpool to anyone for the simply fact of the way my parents have been so disrespected by this company. Its horrible to know this kind of behavior is even allowed for employees to disrespect people. The Whirlpool fridge is warped, damaged from the time it was built. Whirlpool model WRF560SMYB04 - We purchased this model Whirlpool in Dec 2015 after having a refrigerator for 18 years with no problems. We started having cooling issues in late 2017 and finally an intolerable fan noise in April 2018. Researched it and purchased a fan. Opened up the freezer panel and found that the unit was completely frosted up to the point where ice had formed around the freezer fan and was hitting the blades. Contacted a repairman who came out and called in the issue to the Whirlpool tech line. He was told that he should check continuity on a couple of wires. If these checked out, the problem was the user interface board at the top of the refrigerator. We purchased a new board for about $100 and installed same. No change. I was now $250 into repairs and no further. We became aware of Whirlpool Service Pointer W10875533A which described conditions that we were experiencing. The issue was a coil thermistor that would corrode (apparently within 2 years) and would not provide accurate signals. Whirlpool also issued an instruction sheet W10902213 Rev A describing how to relocate the thermistor and protect it with foil and tape. My repairman came out, confirmed the thermistor ($54) was bad, replaced same following the Instruction Sheet. We were now out over $300 on a $1000 refrigerator purchased 2 years earlier.Whirlpool issued the Service Pointer (not to consumers, but to repair shops) in Sept 2016 (within our warranty period). We received no notifications from Whirlpool of the defective design. Nor did we receive a recall notice. Moreover, Whirlpool tech group must have known about this issue, but instructed my repairman to replace the interface board. Whirlpool knows they have a defective product out there but are doing nothing to inform the consumer or stepping up to correct the problem. We have contacted Whirlpool to recover our expenses...will let you all know how that goes. Anybody interested in pursuing a class action?

We purchased a new Cabrio top loading washer in June of 2011 to replace a Maytag Neptune (thinking at the time that wed gone as low as possible). We didnt abuse the machine. In fact, because it had a tempered glass lid (in a plastic frame), we were careful with the lid on the machine. It broke during a wash cycle. Because its heavy, the lid has spring supports on both sides; these are stronger than the plastic frame and over time the frame will break, rendering the machine inoperable. The discounted price for a new lid is over $200, and Maytag (I mean Whirlpool) tells us that it lasted through the 365 day warranty, so the bill is on us. It may be green when it works, but taking 18 month appliances to the landfill is not very green. And others on the web report say that the lid only lasts a year or so. The ratings scale needs to have negative values. Id give this appliance a -5.

We started having cosmetic problems with our over the counter microwave about 2 years later (model WMH2175XVS-2). The plastic casing around the door handle started to crack on the top and the bottom and now both pieces are completely gone as they fell off. The handle is still attached and the microwave is usable; however, it looks shoddy. To replace it, we were told by a Whirlpool authorized repair person that you would have to replace the whole door at a cost of $300 or more if you include labor. I am disappointed that this happened and that we cant get it repaired. It makes me think again about purchasing more Whirlpool appliances.

Same problem. Called Lowes - Lady name Kelly continued to tell us we did something wrong. She would not listen and continued to say its Christmas EVE. Finally the workers came out to check it out around 4:00. Confirmed washer is defective and new washer will be delivered on 12-26-13. Confused as to the label on the machine says made with pride in America. Our 20yr. old Cabrio only lasted two years and went up. Never buy another Whirlpool product!

About five years ago, I purchased a top load Whirlpool Cabrio washer and matching dryer. For the past couple of years or so, this washer gets out of balance every spin cycle. It sounds like a mac truck running through my house. At this time, I do not have $300-$400 to buy a warranty when I feel that this problem is so widespread (via internet complaints) that Whirlpool should fix this problem. I replaced a perfectly working 13-year old Maytag washer simply because my dryer went out. I have contacted customer service with no results. I recommended this washer to my neighbor about a couple of years ago and now I am sorry I did. Little did I know that three years in there would have to be a repair. As you know, this isnt a bottom of the line cheap washer, therefore, I wouldnt expect it would be acting like one after this period of time. I asked Dave who at Whirlpool cared and basically, he had no answer. I told him that I would expect a company as large as Whirlpool to have people who have the job of searching the internet to see what people are saying about the company and if they did, they would know this was a problem with these washers and would initiate some sort of recall. This is such a bone of contention at my house that I wish the thing would just die so I had to go buy another (and trust me it wont be a Whirlpool). But rather, I get to listen to my washer thrust throughout my house every load I do.

Before beginning a new wash cycle, we have to unplug to reboot again, or it sticks in a perpetual pump cycle.I scheduled a repair appointment from the Whirlpool automated service system. The repair man determined the computer control panel has to be replaced. Diagnostic service call was $136, repair est, $321.67, repair service call, $60-130. Total repair cost on an 18-month old machine was $520+. I declined the repair in hope of getting extended warranty coverage from Whirlpool. Nobody has responded to my email complaint from one week ago, not even a computer acknowledgment of receipt of my email.

About one month ago I started noticing that a simple large cup of water to make tea or instant coffee takes more than 2 minutes on power 10 to heat up enough. It used to take about 1 1/2 minutes. Now, Im no mathematician, but I believe thats about 25% power loss in 6 months. The same applied to any convection dinner Ive tried to cook lately. Im going to say that Im dissatisfied with the convection feature and would rather just bake the silly food in the regular oven as usual. Any planned-overs trying to re-heat is taking much longer as well as melting butter. I do not have much confidence in Whirlpool microwaves right now, and may never again.

My washing machine was broken for four weeks, and they have been unable to receive all of the parts needed to repair it. They have made three appointments to fix the machine, telling me that they have the parts and only to cancel the appointment the night before. I have tried to get Pacific Sales to exchange the broken machine, but they will not do that or compensate in any way. This is a top of the line model; I would have been better off with a low-priced model, and I might actually have a machine that worked. There is no point in investing in a high efficiency machine when I have to rewash many dark items several times in spite of always adding the extra rinse cycle. The clothes appear cleaner if I do not add liquid fabric softener, but as I prefer to use my clothes line when possible, I am unable to use fabric softener. Also, although it is supposed to be a high capacity machine, I only fill the tub about one third of its capacity, hoping this will increase the cleanliness of your clothes. It doesnt seem to help.I have contacted Whirlpool several times and the final suggestion was that pay for a technicians visit, approx. $100, plus extra for repairs. I have decided not to throw good money after bad and to buy another brand of washer. This is the WORST appliance I have ever owned even though it is supposedly high-end. PLEASE do not buy a Whirlpool appliance. If the Cabrio washing machine is an indication of the quality of their appliances, you will be wasting your money.

We were a Whirlpool family, and have been using a Whirlpool front loader – Duet Steam Model # WFW9500TW - for the past nine years without any issues until recently when it started to vibrate. Technician sent by Whirlpool blamed it on failing bearing and that it was cheaper to replace than to repair (In hindsight, I wish we had tried repairing). Naturally, we decided to replace with a new front loader from Whirlpool - Model # WFW6620HW. Our previous version had a max spin speed of 1000 RPM and a capacity of 3.5 cu. ft. This new one has a top spin speed of 1160 RPM and a capacity of 4.5 cu. ft. The main problem with our old one was vibration, and this was being caused by the washer going into high spin while the clothes were not evenly distributed throughout the drum. In one spin, the clothes would spin perfectly without any vibration, but in another spin of the same cycle, the washer would not allocate that same clothes properly throughout the drum, which leads the drum to cause vibration from unbalanced high spin. Vibration is a problem, because like most Americans, we live in a wood frame house, and have a basem*nt underneath with the washer located on the main floor. Vibration from unbalanced high RPM spin gets sent down to other areas of the house, causing damage, drywall cracks, separation in trims, etc. And these are all only the damages one can see with their eyes.One point about vibration and some myth busting. Provided that all your washer legs are meeting the floor and not on a saggy floor, your washer should not vibrate more than it does during an empty spin. If it does, then it is due to faulty, poor design/engineering. What happens is when the steel drum becomes unbalanced with laundry in high spin, it starts to shake as more of the weight is on one side, which one can notice looking inside the washer window. There are concrete weights fastened to the top and bottom of drum to keep the drum in place and to reduce its shaking tendencies. However, this weight also causes the washer cabinet to wobble if the drum itself is shaking. This wobble in turn causes the washer legs, which may be firmly grasping the floor, to very slightly come off the floor, which one can feel if touching both the washer feet and floor with their finger at the high spin of an unbalanced spin. And that motion of legs coming off the floor and hitting back at high RPM is what causes vibration to be felt on the floor and to be seen on the cabinet. Of course, this effect is amplified with washers that decide to go into an unbalanced spin with an even higher max spin. When our old washer perfectly balanced the clothes, it behaved like it was running high spin while the drum was empty. This is how all washers should behave, especially in America where the vast majority of homes are wood frame based. However, that was not what we experienced with this new Whirlpool. If a washer is not capable of balancing out the clothes, extra function or feature should be deployed in containing the drum shake to within the drum, and not allow it to escape.First, our old front load Duet Steam Whirlpool was Made in Germany. This new one is ‘assembled’ in America. The door window of the new one is plastic and feels cheap and flimsy, but I expect all the darker color door windows of newer front loaders to be plastic. Consider it cost cutting. We did not look for additional anti-vibration technology because our old Duet didn’t have anti-vibration features aside from its two springs and four suspensions. We decided not to use Load & Go because I have personally seen liquid HE detergents gum up over time, so I didn’t want to risk it gumming up inside the washer.After the installers left, I spend an hour cleaning the outside of the washer to perfection. Sadly, time wasted. Once I was done, I first did a wash without clothes, and then with clothes in Normal, fast spin cycle with drum about 2/3rds full. Just pants and t-shirts. There is a recirculating pump at the top of the drum to distribute the water, and to also distribute soap mixed water. But I am not sure if this is without problems. These pumps can collect soap residue with time, and you will eventually end up rinsing the laundry with soap mixed water even in rinse cycle.In getting to the first spin in wash cycle, I was flabbergasted to see how, just how rudimentary, I want to reiterate the word rudimentary, the load detection was before entering high spin. Our nine-year-old washer had a more comprehensive one. The new washer would spin the clothes at very, very low spin and simply see if the drum is most evenly spinning. That’s all. Compared it to our old washer which would also shake the drum to see if there was movement from side to side, because clothes can change their position when entering high spin. This rudimentary load detection causes the new washer to create an even worse uneven load distribution around the drum before spin, even though it may seem even at very low RPM. So, why is the new washer’s load detection so basic? I believe it is due to ball bearings.Front load washer models from other companies employ ball bearings to reduce vibrations from uneven loads. Whirlpool does not employ such feature, at least, they do not advertise them. However, to my surprise, I hear metal balls hitting each other every time the drum direction changes during the wash cycle. I inquired Whirlpool about this and I received contradictory responses. My theory is that the basic load detection before spin speed is used because Whirlpool assumes any changes to load distribution will be taken care of or reduced by the ball bearings of the washer. But this ultimately allows the washer to go into more uneven spins. The bearings may also be used to increase the tolerance of what is considered an ‘unbalanced load’ in order to get the washer to go into spin cycle faster, decreasing the time involved of the washer to go into spin cycle. Sadly, to my dismay, the new washer ended up causing a worse vibration than our old one with failing bearing.I called up the retailer the same day of delivery and complained of vibration. He first sent an installer to see if it was installed properly, and upon showing the installer of the vibration issues, the retailer sent me a new washer couple of days later thinking the first one was a lemon, and even though it has less noisy draining noise, it too exhibited the same issues with it going into significantly uneven spin. In the end, we decided to return the Whirlpool washer all together, at a loss of $200 because the retailer did not hold up to their spoken return policy.We have done many loads in this washer to see if our loading is an issue, loads of varying sizes, loads of varying types, loads of weights, and we maybe only had an evenly distributed load around the drum about once or twice. Once it was a King comforter. But, like our old washer, this too ended up not distributing properly around the drum in the final spin cycle and started vibrating, even though it was vibration-free in the previous high spin cycle. This proves that the problem exists directly within the washer, not the floor, leveling, load, etc.Some other problems with the washer: - The washer door, Load & Go dispenser at bottom, and single load dispenser at top are all plastic parts which all vibrate significantly during fast spin cycle. Especially the Load & Go dispenser which keeps hitting the cabinet to make banging noise. - Drain sounds are much, much louder than our previous Duet. It was even louder in the first one we received. Combine this to uneven spins and this washer can perhaps compete with an engine in terms of the sound it generates. - Single use dispenser at top left will hit the washer door if washer door is opened when the dispenser is also in open position. - Buttons are sometimes unresponsive, to which I have to power off and try again. But this has only happened a couple of times.- There is a small ¼ in. opening where the steel drum meets the rubber gasket, opening in which items like coins, etc., may fall through and are irretrievable. Don’t think small socks would be affected.To potential buyers, I suggest you proceed with caution when it comes to this washer. Understand the retailer’s appliance return policy and make sure it is shown in paper. It can save you a lot of headache. Get the extended warranty of three years because manufacturers only give you one-year warranty for a reason. I would also suggest that you avoid this washer at all costs if you have any floor level below where this washer is to be installed, especially if the level below is a basem*nt. Your house is more important and more valuable than a $1000 washer.In the end, I am very disappointed in Whirlpool, an American company. Perhaps Whirlpool focuses their attention on top loaders, not front loaders. But Whirlpool had nine years to improve their washers, and it is sad that we may now have to go outside of America for a quality product to be used in American homes. P.S. No kids in the house and very limited use of icemaker. Motor keeps burning out because of the design flaw per the tech. Very poor design for a $1,500 fridge. Due to these issues I do not intend on purchasing Whirlpool products in the future.

(It has been replaced 2 times so far.) This time I have been without my icemaker for 6 weeks. When I called today - they informed me they would contact another repair company, but they could not come out for 1 month. They acted like I was bothering them - when I called again today - I did not buy a new appliance to have it break down every 3 months. They only use A & E Repair and Tri-County Appliances, and they must be so busy fixing other Whirlpool appliances that break down - that you have to wait 4- 6 weeks for a repair. Ridiculous!!

I spent every penny I earned to buy a long lasting fridge (Whirlpool Gold Series) only to have a headache ever since I bought it. Only owning a year the freezer went out, yes I had to endure the loud noise, no ice. Then the thing would spoil my milk and ham making my stomach to be sick. The temp is 60•. The people that Whirlpool sends out are in cahoots. Told me my compressor is out and I just heard it kick on. A repairman was sent out a few days later, who could not solve the problem because a piece had to be ordered. The piece was ordered and the repairman came to install the part on December 28, 2011.The refrigerator is still not working at all. We have been without ice for this period of time, not to mention the inconvenience of non-refrigeration of food. I pleaded for them to pick up the refrigerator and give me even a partial refund. I was told that three repairs had to be done before they would even consider picking up the refrigerator. I am not a person who complains, but this was ridiculous. I will never purchase another Whirlpool product.

I have an oven hood Whirlpool Microwave. Even though its more of a basic model it has worked terrific so far at about 5 years old. Only draw back is the extremely loud 4 beep alarm upon completion of warming up food. I actually cringe when it is about to go off especially early in the morning. Ours doesnt have the handy options button to turn it off. I have tried other combos with the buttons to see if they have it set up different but to no avail. Does anyone know if you can shut it off. The people who design these things must not have babies because they would think of this at nap time Im sure. Truly the sound this thing emits could wake the dead! I also had the fancy Whirlpool before like some folks mentioned about the handle and door frame cracking and disintegrating. Guess what, so did my parents, sisters, aunts and my neighbors. Definitely a major design flaw or faulty materials. My sister, mom got new doors and they began cracking again within a year!

Am posting in regards to a brand new dishwasher that I purchased the first part of February 2020 from Menards. The dishwasher I bought is Model # WDT730PAHB and Serial # F94519386. I had the dishwasher 10 days and it stopped working after running only two times. I checked the breaker box and all electrical connections to the machine and it was getting electricity, but would not turn on at all. I called the store to return it and they only have a 7 day return policy. Since then Whirlpool has been contacted and I have had two service calls from Whirlpool. The mother board has been replaced (which I waited two weeks for the part & five hours for a service man) and still it will not come on. Now I am waiting on a wire harness, ordered on March 4th or 5th and still not here. I completely understand wanting to fix a broken machine, however this was a new dishwasher that only worked for 2 washes. I have now been without a dishwasher for almost 2 months, which in light if our current world situation isnt a huge deal, however this is a time when sanitation is very important. I feel like Whirlpool should offer to replace my new machine with a new machine and not something that is refurbished. At this point it is costing more to repair this machine than to just replace it. Every time I call Whirlpool I get the line of we have to repair it. Give me a break. Take care of your customers!!?? #neverbuyawhirpoolproduct

Dishwasher: 40% of the time, kitchen floor damped with dirty smelly sticky water. Were first told: Its the product; next: Its the way you arrange dishes; next: The filter is not completely clean. And we are waiting on the 4th visit from the Whirlpool service. We have owned at least 7 dishwashers so far, this is just unbelievable! Poor poor poor performance, with dishes covered with dirty film once in a while. And you never know when the dishwasher will decide to misbehave...Stove: White ceramic stove one day broke with a sauce pan cooking on top of it... Microwave and stove and oven: they beep and beep and beep, to tell you you are increasing the heat (one beep every time you touch), to remind you infinitely the food is ready, etc. And there is NO way these contacts can be disconnected. Now imagine oven on plus 2 saucepans cooking on the stove for which you have to increase/decrease temp. plus the dishwasher finishing, all at once, every day. How much beeping it makes after a long day at work.

Since we only needed a Washer at the time, we overpaid (it is more cost effective when you buy both washer and dryer). So we paid $1000.00 for this machine (we purchased the stand as well). After the 1st year, there seemed to be a significant decrease in how fast the washer spun, as the clothes were coming out wetter. I didnt pay much attention, but 2 years later, the machine has a weird problem where it couldnt complete the cycle, and by this time, every time it Spun, the noise was louder and louder.I contact Whirlpool, placed a service call and the Technician came out. $225.00 later, there was a hose that was pinched that was sending a wrong signal to the washer. He fixed that and told me I should get a contract on the machine through Whirlpool since I seemed to be having problems. I purchased the contract, for $300.00, and 2 1/2 weeks later placed another service call, as the noise from the machine was happening every time I did laundry. The service guy came out, indicated that it seemed to be the Agitator, and that he would need to order parts, and that they had a SPECIALIST who only does this type of repair, since they have many! He also indicated that the hose may have crimped due to the movement of the entire agitator!Well, after not hearing from ANYONE for 2 weeks, I called the repair company who told me WHIRLPOOL was supposed to call and let me know that they would NOT fix the machine, as the parts cost more than the Washer, which is now valued at $500.00! No one from WHIRLPOOL EVER CALLED, and I cant understand how a $1000.00 Washing machine touted to be so efficient and environmentally friendly has been THROWN OUT after 3 years!!! And now I am out the $225.00 repair, have no washing machine, $1000.00 down the drain (and I forgot to mention a year later we bought the matching WHIRLPOOL DRYER and OVERPAID) and now have to purchase another machine, which I assure you WONT BE WHIRLPOOL! As most of us have experienced, WASHING MACHINES last for many years! The washer I had before this was over 20 years!!!! So much for efficient and environmentally friendly... The only thing GREEN about this machine is how much of my $$$ has gone to Whirlpool!

I am getting numerous F1 codes on my Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine, Model #WTW6600SW2. By doing thorough research on this issue I can see the problem is in a known defective control board (part #W10130544). This part has even been replaced by Whirlpool with a new control board costing around $300 for just the part. After calling for repair service, two people (1 agent and 1 supervisor) refused to acknowledge any known issues with this part and further refused to any type of repair or replacement of the part. It is impossible for anyone in that position to not have knowledge of this problem. Simply look on the internet for a countless number of people with this very same complaint. Even though my washer is eight years old it has had very little use. There are only two grown adults in this household and the machine has never been abused or overused. It still looks new. Whirlpool should be honest and responsible when dealing with this type of problem. They should agree to pay for the part and repair service... at the very least they should agree to pay for the part.

I purchased 2 more bins for the refrigerator door, now I can get all my spices and condiments on the door as well as lots of other things. The freezer has racks instead of glass shelves. The top shelf is adjustable, that is nice in order to use more space. I love the ice and water on the outside of the door.

It does not clean the clothes. If you try to rebalance and spin the load, it adds more water and then gets stuck in a cycle where it drains and adds water forever. Do not buy one of these. I am finally surrendering and buying a different machine. A total waste of money.

Whirlpool seems to have an ongoing issue with the tub seal which goes bad and then allows water to enter the bearing which then fails. Whirlpool will not make it right, I guess I will have to plan on a $350 repair every two to three years if I keep this machine. I am very disappointed with whirlpool for not standing behind what is a known problem. They should replace these seals under warranty so that the Bearing does not fail. Thats my opinion, recall the seals and fix a bad design problem. I would not recommend ANY whirlpool products to anyone at this point. What other problems do they have with their other products?

But I need a washer that will clean farm clothes. My husband works hard and his clothes show it. This washer does not clean them. I even tried putting very few items in at a time. They still arent clean. I have to take my heavily soiled laundry to the laundromat. My other main complaint is the baffling feature of a lock mode. I spend countless minutes standing by my washer waiting for it to unlock so I can toss in an extra item or add fabric softener, etc. When we removed the latch, the washer didnt work at all. Replaced the item at a cost of $40. Infuriating!

Youd never know it until the light cover would be removed for cleaning. Which wasnt easy to do since Whirlpool installed it with 2 sided sticky glue foam tape. Now thats really scum behavior!

It is a Whirlpool 50-Gal water heater (6th sense) and was going to have it installed by their installer, but elected after seeing it was very similar to lining up with my old unit. I got it in and then filled it. After filling, I lit the pilot light per the instructions then turned the knob for heating it up. Success, the flame spread across the burners...then went out. The steady blink changed to the 2 blink code indicating a bad thermopile. It did not work - right out of the box. No plumber near me carries the part. Whirlpool has thus been pretty good about it offering to have someone come out at their cost... But if no one has the parts, that is no good. I am moving from this house so if we can get it to work, its the problem for the next owner. If not - Ill have to get an RMA and go back to Lowes... Then try the Rheem from Home Depot. Will see if they will overnight a part tomorrow. I found the other reviews - and I dont like it that this thing appears to have difficulty right out of the box.

This Whirlpool, two door, refrigerator with ice maker & water, replaced a very poor quality 'LG' refrigerator which had stopped working. The company, "LG" was not interested in learning what the problem was but was only interested in making sure we understood the fee for an "LG" repair person to come out. The set fee was a minimal of $150.00 without any repairs. We decided to toss the LG and went to our local Home Depot and purchased our Whirlpool that same day, on sale! Our Whirlpool has been working great, without any problems and the fresh, filtered water is always refreshingly cool. We would very highly recommend Whirlpool! It seems their products always work very well!
