After splitting with her first husband in 1998, Lara Flynn Boyle got involved with David Spade… then stomped on his heart. How, you ask? On July 8 that year, Jack Nicholson was involved in a car wreck in the Hollywood Hills, and Lara was a passenger. The actress bolted from the scene — and David later admitted he found out she'd been there after he got a call from the National Enquirer.

Julie Bowen, 2002-2003

David Spade pulled out all the stops during his long-distance relationship with "Modern Family" star Julie Bowen in the early aughts. In 2003, David wrangled Stevie Nicks to sing Fleetwood Mac's "Landslide" on Julie's voicemail for her birthday! But we guess having your favorite song sung to you by the artist herself wasn't enough to keep their romance alive. The pair ended things shortly after. Ouch.
